Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Right of Way Land Agent with a strong background in drafting of easements, landowner coordination and right-evaluations. This role will support the projects management and compliance with existing land rights and the acquisition of new rights for updates to existing systems. The ideal candidate will bring 3 or more years of experience in land acquisition, with a strong command of ArcGIS and Field Maps for spatial data interpretation.

  • Review and correct title takeoffs, construction plans, and ROW documents;
  • Deliver property rights documents to owners and representatives; negotiate and secure parcels through approved counteroffers
  • Maintain contact documentation, conduct final title checks, manage back taxes, and ensure removal of compensated items
  • Submit and track offer letters, counteroffers, and Releases of Damages; attend field reviews and provide weekly status reports
  • Handle administrative tasks including mailing notifications, filing deeds, verifying condemnation parcel addresses, and organizing acquisition packets
  • Submit vendor forms to expedite payments and support efficient project closeout
  • Can adapt to new systems and software environments
  • This employee is required to occasionally travel to government buildings which involves time driving; sometimes for long durations
  • High school diploma
  • 3 to 6 years of ROW experience
  • Solid working knowledge of personal computers, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Earth, ArcGIS and data management software
  • Knowledgeable in real estate values and accepted real estate appraisal practices
  • Ability to work in remote locations for long periods of time;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a high degree of professionalism;
  • Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications
  • Must meet criteria identified in Job Demands & Conditions Analysis for Office and Field Positions
