About the role

The Staff Attorney will help review various types of immigration applications and perform legal research according to guidance provided by senior attorneys.  No immigration experience is necessary, as training will be provided on the types of cases you will be working on, but an interest in immigration law is preferred.  The ideal candidate will be goal-oriented, able to follow detailed instructions, and motivated to help our clients obtain documents and stay united with their families.  There is an opportunity for career growth and additional responsibilities with strong performance.

Your Key Contributions

Review draft immigration court-related filings (EOIR), including motions and briefs , pursuant to instructions from Senior Attorneys Identify, track, and make necessary edits prior to submission, including court filings and legal documents Clearly communicate to other team members regarding edits, including updates to filings, motions, and briefs Meet daily goals on reviewing cases, including high-volume court-related matters (EOIR) Perform legal research on immigration law topics, including those relevant to court proceedings (EOIR)

What Makes You a Great Fit

The candidate should have a J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school and be an active member in good standing of a state bar. Ability to follow detailed directions  Experience using a case management software system preferred  Interest in immigration law preferred  Support mission of helping people currently living in America obtain their documents and stay together with their family  Computer skills (Typing - MS Word and MS Excel, Document Management-DropBox, Email - MS Outlook)

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Local Time

The pay range for this role is:

$65,000 - $69,750 USD por year (United States)

Department: Phase I - Attorney.
