Payroll Specialist, US and International Payroll
About the role
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for coordinating payroll activities across US and International Payroll subsidiaries and branches of the Veeam Group. Reporting to the Global Payroll Director and sitting within the Finance department, this role operates as part of a collaborative team focused on accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing. You will work closely with local payroll service providers, HR, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth payroll operations across multiple regions and regulatory environments. This is a detail-oriented, process-driven role for someone who takes pride in accuracy, thrives in a fast-paced international setting, and is committed to continuous improvement.
What you’ll do
Coordinate payroll processing for the US and International regions in collaboration with the Global Payroll Director, including preparing and submitting monthly payroll input files
Liaise with local payroll service providers to ensure timely and accurate payroll information flow, reviewing calculations and resolving payroll queries
Monitor tax and social security liabilities across supported regions and ensure compliance with local laws and company policies
Collaborate with HR to address and resolve employee payroll inquiries promptly and comprehensively
Review and authorize payroll-related bank transactions, including approving payments in online banking systems
Support external annual audits by providing documentation and clarification on payroll-related matters
Participate in payroll process improvement and enhancement projects as assigned

What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an international payroll function
Proficiency in English (written and spoken), with strong cross-functional communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy, deadlines, and compliance
Ability to work independently and proactively, with strong prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with adaptability to change and a commitment to ongoing self-improvement
Bonus Skills
Professional certification in payroll, HR, or accounting (such as SOCPA or CIPD)
Experience in a Shared Services Centre environment
Knowledge of an additional European language
Familiarity with international tax and social security requirements across US and International Payroll.

Compensation Transparency
Veeam is committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation. For this role, the compensation range below reflects the expected total target compensation (TTC), inclusive of base pay and a competitive performance-based bonus. For roles with a commission plan, the compensation range represents On Target Earnings (OTE), which includes base salary plus variable commission. When determining compensation, Veeam takes into consideration factors such as experience, education, skills, and geographic zone. Offers are typically made below the midpoint of the range.
In addition to compensation, Veeam provides a comprehensive benefits package, including health coverage, retirement plans, and unlimited time off.
