The role

Technical owner of the platform, end to end. Hands-on: writes code, reviews code, makes the architecture calls, sets the engineering standards. Works directly with the founder on product and technical decisions, with product direction and architecture still being defined. The expectation is to build and ship.

What You'll Own

The overall architecture: frontend, backend, Al services, database, cloud

Data modelling for fund mechanics - cash flows, NAV, performance metrics, position-level credit data

The analytics engine

The Al layer (conversational Q&A, document ingestion, report generation)

Engineering standards: testing, CI/CD, security, observability

Technical decisions and the trade-offs behind them

What We're Looking For Stack

8-12 years shipping production software, ideally with private credit, private markets, or capital markets experience

3-5 of those years in a tech lead or staff engineer role.

Shipped LLM features to production users - evals, guardrails, prompt versioning, cost control.

Comfortable across the whole stack, with real depth in backend and data

Strong in Python and TypeScript/Node, fluent in React/Next.js

Strong on PostgreSQL and data pipelines - schema design, query performance, ETL/ELT, analytical workloads at scale

Built and operated systems handling significant data volume and concurrency in production.

Production experience with AWS — IAM, networking, S3, RDS, containerised workloads

Designs for security, auditability, and data sensitivity from day one - not as an afterthought

Decisive and pragmatic. Moves forward with sound judgement rather than waiting for perfect information

Stack:

Next.js, NestJS, FastAPI, PostgreSQL with pgvector, AWS (S3, RDS, IAM, containerised workloads), LangChain and LangGraph for orchestration, LiteLLM for model routing, AWS Textract for OCR. Docker and infrastructure-as-code.

Salary will be processed in PKR, and tax will be deducted as per applicable laws
