Equipment Operator Job Posting: 13600169 Posted On: Jul 15, 2026 Updated On: Jun 28, 2026 Job Description Worksite 1364 East College Drive Colby, KS 67701 Equipment Operator (6) Temporary Full Time Position 10/1/26-12/15/26, Operate equipment used for applying concrete, asphalt, or other materials to road beds, parking lots, or airport runways and taxiways or for tamping gravel, dirt, or other materials.
Includes concrete and asphalt paving machine operators, form tampers, tamping machine operators, and stone spreader operators. DAILY TRAVEL TO VARIOUS JOB SITES LOCATED IN Thomas, Sheridan, Graham, Rawlins, Cheyenne, Decatur, Sherman, Wallace, Logan, Norton, Greeley, Wichita, Scott , Lane counties in Kansas. ABLE TO LIFT AND CARRY 50 POUNDS. SOME OT AND WEEKENDS REQUIRED. 8 HOUR WORKDAY. Hours may vary between 7 am and 7 pm. If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse worker for transportation & subsidence (including meals &, to the extent necessary lodging) from the place of recruitment to the place of employment.
Upon completion of work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will pay for workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or if employer has appropriately reported a workers voluntary abandonment of employment.
The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
