Responsibilities
: The Part-Time Member Communications Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring effective communication between the cooperative and its members, both internally and externally. This role supplements a current position as a Member Service Representative or New Service Coordinator and primarily focuses on timely and accurate communication through various channels, such as text, phone and social media. Initial
Responsibilities
include monitoring outage reports, coordinating with the control center and field superintendents, providing real-time updates on restoration status and estimated restoration times, collecting member feedback and executing communication strategies. Additionally, during assigned shifts, this role is responsible for overseeing Member Services outage restoration team activities and schedules, monitoring outages and their status, ensuring timely communication and reporting on member feedback.
The person in this position: Actively participates in Member Communication Representative training for its duration Collaborates with internal outage restoration teams and Communications to coordinate and send outage messaging Assists with the call center queue and retail as required Facilitates internal communication to ensure staff members are informed Monitors social media platforms and responds to member outage inquiries Assists in planned outage communication, ensuring timely and accurate information delivery Tracks and reports on member feedback to enhance communication strategies Acts as a point of contact for Member Service escalations to ensure satisfactory resolutions that meet organizational expectations in a timely manner Ensures the outage restoration team's schedule and Member Services’ unresolved call schedule is well-coordinated to optimize response efficiency during outage situations Implements communication strategies for maintenance and planned/unplanned outages in collaboration with Communications and Member Services Provides leadership by offering feedback, training and analytics analysis to the outage restoration team Works with the Communications team and other cooperative managers/leaders to create and send text messages, phone calls and emails to members Works with Community and Development Services to provide outage updates on key accounts and critical members Must be able to appropriately handle confidential information and act within the practices established by the Bluebonnet Red Flag policy Maintain professional working relationships with all employees, members and vendors at all times Maintain regular attendance; arrives to work on time and is ready to work.
Use safe work practices at all times and in all situations Tools and Equipment Used: Office Equipment including computer, printer, copier, fax, etc. May be required to drive a cooperative vehicle. According to established business need, must maintain a mobile phone and appropriate communication plan. Physical Demands: Requires repetitive motion of hands and fingers such as dialing and keyboarding. Light lifting.
Work Environment: Typical office environment, including remote and on-site work during scheduled shifts at Bluebonnet headquarters in Bastrop and the Engineering building in Giddings to ensure proximity to the Control Center.
Attendance and participation at workshops, conferences, Member Service labs and other professional meetings including evenings, overnight travel may be required In addition to normal business hours, required to work varying schedules, including shift work, call duty, extended hours, weekends and holidays and able to perform rotational 24/7 on-call duties Travels to Control Centers and DR site as needed and during Level 2 and 3 events, including on days and times beyond standard workdays and weekends ATS provider: Paylocity.
