Our story began when our co-founder, Arthur Waller, experienced firsthand the complexities of accounting while running his previous venture, PriceMatch. After PriceMatch was acquired by Booking.com, Arthur and a group of like-minded friends, many of whom also came from PriceMatch, decided to tackle this widespread challenge. We interviewed over 500 business leaders and discovered a significant need for a tool that could effectively harness real-time financial data. This insight led to the birth of Pennylane. We designed our platform to be a collaborative space where entrepreneurs and their accountants – whether in-house or outsourced – can work seamlessly together. Business owners can use Pennylane with their existing accountant or rely on us to help them find the perfect match based on their specific needs and location. We're proud to say that thousands of companies and hundreds of accounting firms have already placed their trust in our solution.
