The Dream Project is a non-profit organization based in Virginia that empowers students whose immigration status creates barriers to higher education. Founded in 2010, the organization starts supporting students in high school and continues through college graduation and into professional life. We provide a comprehensive network of mentoring, scholarships, and family engagement to help students overcome the unique challenges they face.

Our programs include a $2,500 renewable scholarship awarded annually to qualifying students, which can be renewed for up to five years of college education. We also conduct an acclaimed mentoring program for high school juniors and seniors, helping them navigate the complex college application process, identify the right school, and apply for additional financial support. The Dream Project has been recognized as one of the best local nonprofits in the Washington area by the Catalogue for Philanthropy, demonstrating our commitment to transforming lives through education.

Beyond financial support, we partner with Beyond 12 to provide college coaching, offer a well-funded loan and COVID-emergency relief fund, and maintain a partnership with George Mason University for subsidized mental health counseling. We provide general immigration advice to scholars and their parents, create a supportive environment for families, and are actively involved in issue advocacy, especially in Northern Virginia.
