La Universidad del Valle de Guatemala (UVG) es una institución educativa privada, sin fines de lucro y no ideológica, fundada en 1966 en la Ciudad de Guatemala por la Asociación del Colegio Americano de Guatemala. Con más de 55 años de trayectoria, se ha consolidado como la universidad privada número uno de Guatemala y Centroamérica, pionera en áreas de ciencia, tecnología e innovación.

UVG opera tres campus estratégicos: el Campus Central en la Ciudad de Guatemala, el Campus Sur en Escuintla y el Campus Altiplano en Sololá, estos últimos diseñados para atender necesidades educativas de regiones históricamente desatendidas. La universidad ofrece más de 45 licenciaturas y 20 maestrías a través de sus facultades de Ingeniería, Ciencias y Humanidades, Ciencias Sociales, Educación, Administración y Negocios, y el Colegio Universitario.

Reconocida internacionalmente, UVG fue la primera universidad guatemalteca en obtener acreditación institucional por parte del HCÉRES de Francia y mantiene acreditación de todos sus programas de ingeniería. Posee 10 centros de investigación y 21 laboratorios especializados, incluyendo el Centro de Innovación y Tecnología (CIT), certificado bajo estándares EDGE Advanced. Su compromiso con la investigación la ha llevado a colaborar con instituciones como los CDC, Johns Hopkins, Yale y Liverpool University.
