About Youth light dynamics

K-12 educators and other professionals who work with students and their families face ever-evolving trends and issues. YouthLight's mission is to address these current challenges by developing and promoting best-practice, preventive, strengths-based approaches to helping young people. Our customers are dedicated to making a positive impact on youth, and we provide them with the resources to do so effectively. We offer a wide range of materials designed to promote a positive school climate and enhance social-emotional learning, which are crucial for improving outcomes for our youth. Our offerings include interactive SMART Guidance programs, animated storybooks, and digital files accessible through our Digital Library, ensuring that educators have modern and engaging tools at their disposal.

Founded in 1995 by Bob and Susan Bowman, YouthLight stemmed from a lifelong passion for helping young people, a drive that is deeply personal and grew from their own experiences overcoming challenges during their youth. Prior to YouthLight, in 1989, they founded Developmental Resources, Inc., which has provided seminars and national conferences for over 200,000 professionals. YouthLight was formally initiated to publish and market cutting-edge resources for these professionals. We continually strive to develop and promote best-practice, preventive, strengths-based approaches to helping young people succeed. Our resources cover a wide array of topics critical for personal and social development, including feelings and emotional intelligence, self-esteem, self-regulation, relationship skills like empathy and conflict resolution, and school success tools such as SMART Connect™ SEL Programs and Thumballs®. We understand that educators need practical, effective tools, which is why we offer curricula, activity books, games, and other media to support their work in fostering social-emotional skills. YouthLight is committed to being a partner in making a difference in the lives of young people.
