The adidas Foundation was established in 2023 by adidas as an independent non-profit organization, legally structured as a gGmbH under German law. While we maintain a strong relationship with adidas, we operate with complete autonomy, guided by the belief that sport has the power to change lives and tackle some of the world's most pressing social and environmental challenges. Our headquarters are in Nuremberg, Germany, from where we coordinate our global work.

We carry out long-term programs aimed at combatting inequality, fostering gender equity, and promoting peace while aiming to enhance mental and physical health. Our work is organized across three core pillars: People, Planet, and Relief. Through programs like United by Sport, Playing for Purpose, Moving for Change, and upcoming initiatives in recovery and climate action, we support marginalized communities - particularly those facing discrimination based on gender identity, ethnicity, abilities, and migrant status. We partner with organizations that are politically and religiously independent, prioritizing regions with the greatest need and collaborating meaningfully with effective local stakeholders to create lasting, positive change through sport.
