Alight remote jobs and company guide
Alight develops, owns and operates onsite and offsite solar projects across Europe, helping energy-intensive businesses switch to solar through low-cost power purchase agreements.
About Alight
In 2013, the founders of Alight - originally known as Eneo Solutions - recognized a critical gap in the renewable energy landscape: energy-intensive businesses across Europe were struggling to transition to solar power due to high upfront costs and complex implementation challenges. Traditional solar models relied heavily on government subsidies, creating vulnerability and limiting scalability. The founders saw an opportunity to create a sustainable business model that would make solar accessible to large-scale commercial and industrial customers without depending on public funding.
This insight led to the creation of Alight's innovative power purchase agreement (PPA) model, which allows businesses to switch to solar with zero capital investment while locking in low, fixed electricity prices for the long term. From its headquarters in Stockholm, Alight has grown into a leading European solar independent power producer, developing, owning and operating both onsite and offsite solar projects. Today, with more than 85 team members across Europe and 539 MW of solar power capacity under management or construction, Alight continues to accelerate the renewable energy transition - aiming to reach at least 5 GW of installed capacity by 2030.
