We began our journey as AU Financiers (India) Ltd in 1996, a non-deposit taking Non-Banking Finance Company (NBFC). For over two decades, we focused on funding economic growth, particularly for the under-served and un-served low and middle-class individuals in Rajasthan and gradually expanding our operations. We provided secured funding primarily for vehicle loans, business loans, and housing loans, organically growing our geographical presence. Our commitment has always been to serve the financial needs of people in rural and semi-urban areas who had limited or no access to formal banking and finance channels.

In 2015, when the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) introduced the Small Finance Bank (SFB) category to promote financial inclusion, we saw an opportunity to further our mission. Out of 74 applicants, AU Financiers was one of the ten to receive the coveted license, a testament to our strong foothold and proven track record. We officially transformed into AU Small Finance Bank on April 19, 2017. That same year, we had a successful Initial Public Offering (IPO) and became a publicly listed company on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). We are now a scheduled commercial bank and a Fortune India 500 company. Our guiding principles are inclusivity, progress for all, simplicity, and a bias for action. We aim to make banking simple and convenient for our customers, and we are continuously innovating with many industry-first initiatives as we move towards being a digitally-led bank with a pan-India presence.
