About Center for Survivor Agency and Justice
We are a national organization dedicated to enhancing advocacy for survivors of intimate partner violence. Our mission is to promote advocacy approaches that remove systemic barriers, enhance organizational responses, and improve professional practices to meet the self-defined needs of domestic and sexual violence survivors. We envision a world where all people have equal access to physical safety, economic security, and human dignity.
Since our founding in 2006, we have worked to address the critical gap in mainstream service delivery approaches that often fail to meet survivors' individual and comprehensive needs. We believe that once you center survivors' experiences, their material and economic needs quickly rise to the top. That is why, for more than a decade, we have led the field in enhancing economic advocacy and achieving economic equity for survivors. We develop and share resources to support individual attorneys, advocates, and organizations, and to inform systems and policy change.
