The Disability Rights Fund (DRF) is a grantmaking collaborative that empowers disability rights movements worldwide. We provide financial and technical resources to organizations led by persons with disabilities, enabling them to advocate for equal rights and full participation in society. Since our founding, DRF has awarded $60.8 million to 636 organizations across 62 countries, supporting grassroots activists in Africa, Asia, the Pacific, and the Caribbean to create meaningful change.
Our participatory grantmaking model centers the leadership of persons with disabilities in all decisions. We combine grantmaking with peer learning and advocacy to strengthen movements and advance disability rights. At DRF, persons with disabilities serve as leaders and decision-makers at every level - our staff, Board, and Grantmaking Committee.
