Landi launched Melodi's Pet Sitting Service, focused initially on special needs pets requiring medications, fluids, or having disabilities. The business grew rapidly through veterinary referrals, and after six years in the veterinary field, Melodi decided to expand and launched Furry Fellas Pet Service LLC in 2006 as a full-service pet sitting and dog walking company. Starting with veterinary referrals, the company began enlisting professional pet care providers including vet techs, pre-vet students, dog trainers, and groomers to serve clients throughout Rhode Island and into Bristol County, Massachusetts. Today, Furry Fellas employs over 20 walkers and sitters along with 5 office team members, offering comprehensive services including daily and weekly dog walking, pet sitting visits, overnight sitting in clients' homes, pet taxi and transport services, and unique offerings like pet wedding attendant services. Landi brings over 24 years of experience in pet care, having worked at veterinary hospitals in both general health and emergency practices, and holds certifications in Pet CPR/First Aid, Fear Free, and as a Certified Professional Pet Sitter through Pet Sitters International. She graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Animal Veterinary Science and has received the President's Volunteer Service Award from 2019-2023 for over 100-200+ hours of community service annually helping animals and the environment.
