At the Institute for Public Health Innovation (IPHI), equity is woven into the fabric of everything we do. Founded in 2009, IPHI is a nonprofit organization that brings together partners across sectors to improve health and well-being for communities throughout the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. We believe that working together and building trust are key to making sure everyone has fair access to healthcare, housing, and healthy food.

IPHI serves as a facilitator, convener, and catalyst to help improve health for all communities in the region. Our multi-disciplinary team lives and works in the communities we serve, with offices located in Washington D.C., Largo, MD, and Richmond, VA. By partnering with local governments, healthcare providers, and communities, we help shape better health policies and improve access to care. We support, incubate, and promote creative programs while strengthening health systems and policy, enhancing conditions that promote health, and building community capacity to ensure equitable health opportunities for all.
