We've been engineering solutions since 1946, when our founder William J. McGinley started this company with $1,000 on Chicago's south side. Today, we're a team of over 7,000 people designing and manufacturing mechatronic products for the world's largest companies, with operations spanning North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Our name comes from an anagram of "good manufacturing method" and the terms electrode and cathode - a nod to our electrical engineering roots.
