The company's growth trajectory was marked by significant milestones, including going public in 1984 and eventually being listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 1999. In 2011, the company was acquired by MidOcean Partners, taken private, and rebranded as LegalShield, a name that more accurately reflected its core mission of protecting individuals, families, and businesses. Today, LegalShield stands as a testament to Stonecipher's original vision, serving millions of members across North America.
