About Safran Passenger Innovations

We are Safran Passenger Innovations, and we're dedicated to crafting exceptional in-flight experiences. As an innovative in-flight entertainment and connectivity (IFEC) company, we design, engineer, manufacture, sell, and support world-class solutions. Our products are in a constant state of evolution as we tackle complex challenges in media distribution, playback, and networking, all within the secure and demanding environment of an aircraft. At the heart of our company, innovation drives us to make flying fun. We combine the best of consumer technology, like high-definition touchscreen displays, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth Audio, with the lightest industrial designs to suit nearly any aircraft type, whether for new installations or retrofits. Our expertise extends to ground-breaking satellite terminals and wireless access point technology, allowing us to offer the most innovative in-cabin and satellite hardware solutions. RAVE Connectivity, our comprehensive solution, delivers the fastest inflight Wi-Fi with global coverage through our robust partnership network, available on almost every platform.

Our journey began in 1996 as Innovative Media Solutions (IMS), where we initially found success as a software consulting firm. By 2005, we ventured into portable inflight entertainment units. The concept for RAVE, our award-winning IFEC system, was born in 2008, and by 2011, we launched the first seat-centric IFEC system. A significant milestone occurred in 2012 when Zodiac Aerospace acquired IMS, bringing RAVE to the forefront of the aviation market. Then, in 2018, Safran acquired Zodiac Aerospace, positioning Safran among the top global aerospace companies. Since then, we've relentlessly pursued innovative ideas to perfect the design and software of RAVE, always aiming to maximize the passenger experience and, simply put, make flying fun. Our modular RAVE Digital products and services empower our airline partners to quickly and easily add features focused on driving ancillary revenue. We offer several service verticals designed to boost engagement, including Connected Content Services, Live Television, Advertising, and Analytics. With primary locations in Brea, California, and Wessling, Germany, and additional field offices worldwide, we are a global team committed to advancing IFEC technology.
