About Sagent

Sagent's story begins with a clear mission: to revolutionize the mortgage servicing landscape. What started as Fiserv Lending Solutions, a part of the financial technology giant Fiserv, underwent a significant transformation in 2018. This was the year Sagent Lending Technologies was born, emerging as a joint venture between Fiserv, Inc. and Warburg Pincus, a leading global private equity firm focused on growth investing. This strategic partnership was designed to combine Fiserv's decades of market-leading fintech expertise with Warburg Pincus's skill in nurturing and expanding technology companies. The goal was ambitious yet straightforward: to modernize the lending and homeownership experience for both loan servicers and consumers. Sagent set out to tackle the complexities of mortgage servicing, an area of lending and housing often seen as the last and most intricate frontier.

From its inception, Sagent focused on empowering banks and lenders to make loans and homeownership simpler and safer for millions. The company recognized that the modern consumer expected a seamless digital experience, akin to what they received during loan origination, to extend throughout the entire lifecycle of their loan. Sagent's vision was to create platforms that would allow consumers to manage their home-owning lives from anywhere, while simultaneously providing servicers with tools to lower costs, ensure scale compliance, and enhance servicing values across all market conditions. A pivotal moment in Sagent's journey occurred in March 2022, when it entered into a landmark deal with Mr. Cooper. As part of this agreement, Mr. Cooper became a Sagent customer, and Sagent acquired Mr. Cooper's highly experienced mortgage servicing fintech team, significantly boosting its talent pool, particularly in India. This acquisition also involved Mr. Cooper selling certain intellectual property rights for its cloud-based technology platform to Sagent and receiving a minority equity stake in the fintech company. This move further solidified Sagent's commitment to building a cloud-native, end-to-end loan servicing software platform. The company continued to evolve, with Geno Paluso taking the helm as CEO in February 2024, succeeding Dan Sogorka. Under new leadership, Sagent has remained dedicated to its core mission, launching innovative solutions like the Dara platform, aimed at transforming the servicing ecosystem. Sagent's journey reflects a relentless pursuit of innovation and a commitment to simplifying the complexities of mortgage servicing for the benefit of both financial institutions and the homeowners they serve.
