Bates, who had served on the company's board since its inception in 2019, brought a wealth of experience from scaling multi-site healthcare platforms, notably ATI Physical Therapy. Under his leadership, the company intensified its growth trajectory and relocated its Home Support Office from Bend, Oregon, to Scottsdale, Arizona, establishing a new 'nerve center' for collaboration and support. The organization, now also known as Salt Dental Partners, continued its rapid expansion, aiming to reach nearly 100 practices by the end of 2023. This new phase, often referred to as 'SALT 2.0', emphasized a transformational growth surge, significantly broadening its geographic footprint and partner base, while consistently focusing on fostering a collaborative environment where dental professionals can thrive and focus on patient care, free from the burdens of day-to-day business management.
