We worked on SimpliSafe in our own home from 2006 to 2008, with Chad designing the system and testing it with friends for feedback. We officially launched in 2009 with initial funding from angel investors, introducing the industry's first do-it-yourself (DIY) home security system.

We're constantly innovating to provide next-level protection, from AI-powered cameras and advanced sensors to our Active Guard Outdoor Protection service. We design our hardware, software, and services in-house, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience. Our new headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts, features a dedicated research and development lab and a maker space, underscoring our commitment to continuous innovation. We've expanded our offerings to include products like the Video Doorbell Pro and the Smart Lock, and we've integrated with popular smart home platforms like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. We believe that home security is a fundamental need, not a luxury, and we strive to empower our customers with the peace of mind that comes from knowing their homes and loved ones are protected.
