We had one goal.

Carve out beautiful spaces all around the city. Spaces designed for working. Spaces meant for focusing. Spaces for connecting with others. Spaces where we can meet. Spaces that incorporate the best aspects of coffee shops, co-working, and hotel lobbies. We wanted to tuck these hubs into neighborhoods where people actually live and work. And do it with a touch of soul along the way.

We are big fans of coffee shops, co-working, and hotel lobbies. These are the first places we seek out when we travel to new cities. They’re also the places we go in our own city when we want to get out of the house, when we look for a nook to meet a colleague, when we crave a perch to dream up what’s next, or when we simply need a quiet corner to just get shit done.

For years we’ve been focused on these places, studying what makes the best ones great. Lately, as work has changed for so many, we’ve been surveying their strengths and weaknesses as places for work. Each of these has great component parts toward this end — the replacement of the traditional office — but there is still a gap in what’s out there; there isn’t an offering that brings together the best of these spaces in one place.
