About UNILINK

Unilink specialises in innovative solutions for criminal justice sectors around the world. Founded in 1994 by Francis Toye, Unilink's reputation has been built on over twenty years' experience in case management systems for probation, custodial management systems, biometric applications, offender self-service and communications. Unilink continuously invests in enhancing its solutions portfolio to support all aspects of managing offenders in prisons and in the community and has pioneered award-winning innovations. Initially, Unilink provided self-service kiosks which allowed prisoners to order items from the prison shop and apply for education and jobs. The company has since grown to provide digital services in most UK prisons, linking prisoners to Probation, to their families and – for those in stress – to the Samaritans. Building on that and working closely with the Norwegian Correctional Services, Unilink is on the brink of delivering a unique national case management system for prison and probation.

Unilink operates in several countries and has grown into a company with a turnover of £20m. The Unilink Group consists of three companies and employs around 200 staff. Unilink commits to developing innovative solutions for prisons and probation that assist the process of rehabilitation and understands the importance of making things easy. The company has been carbon neutral since early 2020 and commits to continue this. Unilink's main product is the award-winning prisoner self-service product, currently carrying out around 200 million prisoner transactions every year, helping prisoners to take more responsibility for their own lives and reducing prison officers' workload. Unilink provides AI-enabled solutions for probation, prisons, immigration, health, and individuals in custody, including integrated offender case management systems, Prisoner Self-Service tools, and communication services. With operations in the UK, Australia, and Norway, its award-winning software is used in over 200 facilities worldwide, modernising and humanising justice systems. Unilink is certified to high standards including ISO27001:2013 for Information Security, ISO9001 for Quality, Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus, and SafeContractor SafePQQ.
