About VotingWorks

We're a non-profit team building technology that makes elections more trustworthy through transparency, simplicity, and demonstrable security. As the only non-profit voting system vendor in the United States, we work closely with election administrators to create tools that genuinely serve democracy. Our approach is different because we believe trust must be earned through public accountability - that's why all our source code is openly available for anyone to inspect.

Our team is distributed across the country, working on two main products: an open-source voting system that produces voter-verifiable paper ballots, and Arlo, our post-election auditing tool used by states to verify election results. We collaborate with leading academics in voting security and usability, and we're committed to being transparent about everything we do. Every ballot cast through our system produces a paper record, and none of our machines connect to the internet.
