Our co-founders, Drew Durbin and Lincoln Quirk, met as hallmates freshman year. They became friends over a shared love of building simple products that make a social impact. First, they built Sendwave, now the largest digital remittance company to Africa. Next, they turned their attention to Wave with the mission to bring digital finance to everyone in Africa. In November 2017, we launched a mobile app in Senegal for cash deposit, withdrawal, and peer-to-peer and business payments. In 2019, we expanded to Cote D'Ivoire. Now, we have millions of users and are growing fast. Our goal is to make Africa the first cashless continent and that's where you come in. We're a fully remote team so you can work on a life-changing mission from anywhere in the world. We maximize our rate of learning. We're always iterating on our personal goals and habits to become more effective and happier. Most importantly, we do this fast.
