That's why over 95% of our staff are local leaders who know and love their communities and will continue to serve long after our direct involvement. We partner with thousands of churches and tens of thousands of local volunteers to tackle critical issues such as disaster response, extreme poverty, and the challenges faced by refugees, immigrants, and displaced people. We strive to provide emergency assistance, build resilience in disaster-ravaged communities, empower communities to break free from poverty through programs in savings, agriculture, and health, and restore hope for those fleeing persecution and violence. In the United States, we operate numerous offices, welcoming and resettling refugees, providing immigration legal services, and helping new Americans integrate into their communities.
