About the role

We are seeking a proactive, organized Contracts Manager to support the Commercial Legal team in managing contracts, contract processes, and assisting with legal operations initiatives for commercial legal and cross-functional projects. This role combines contract administration, contract review and drafting, project coordination and process improvement responsibilities, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in contract management, legal operations or project management.

The successful candidate will be confident working with stakeholders across the business, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and passionate about creating efficient processes and workflows. They will play a key role in supporting the contract lifecycle, driving operational improvements and helping ensure projects and contractual matters are delivered on time.

What you’ll do

Contract Review, Management & Metrics

  • Review non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and other simple agreements in accordance with approved playbooks and guidance whilst developing confidence on negotiating and learning when to escalate issues.
  • Manage contract intake, triage and routing through established legal processes and assist with improving these processes.
  • Coordinate internal approvals and execution processes, ensuring agreements are signed and completed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain contract and project dashboards, trackers and management information.
  • Monitor key metrics, including contract volumes, turnaround times, execution timelines and process performance.
  • Produce reports and insights to support continuous improvement initiatives and operational decision-making.

Process Improvement, Legal Operations & Automation

  • Support the development, documentation and continuous improvement of legal and contract management processes. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort and standardise ways of working.
  • Create and maintain workflows, process maps, guidance documents and operational procedures.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, action trackers, timelines and status reports.
  • Track project milestones, dependencies and deliverables to ensure projects remain on schedule, proactively managing follow-ups and driving accountability amongst stakeholders to ensure actions are completed on time.
  • Act as a point of contact for routine business queries relating to legal processes, contract status and execution processes.
  • Support training and awareness initiatives relating to legal processes, contract management tools and self-service resources.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 1–3 years' experience in a contracts, legal, operations, project coordination or administrative role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience coordinating multiple priorities and delivering work to deadlines.
  • Experience working within a legal department, legal operations function or commercial environment.
  • Process-oriented mindset with a genuine interest in creating efficient workflows, improving processes and driving operational excellence.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify risks, inconsistencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks and drive them through to completion.
  • Resilience and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus skills

  • Confident and proactive approach, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels including holding stakeholders accountable for actions and deadlines whilst maintaining positive working relationships.
  • Experience reviewing or managing NDAs and other commercial agreements.
  • Exposure to contract lifecycle management systems, legal technology platforms or e-signature tools.
  • Experience supporting process improvement, workflow design or automation initiatives.
