As an Account Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll support sales growth and customer success for our advanced analytical and scientific instruments. Working in scientific instrument solutions, you'll help customers make informed decisions in research, quality control, and process improvement. You'll develop and expand customer relationships while representing our comprehensive portfolio of instruments, consumables, and services across diverse markets including pharmaceutical, environmental, industrial, food safety, healthcare, and academic research.

A Day in the Life

Develop and grow customer relationships by understanding scientific, technical, and business requirements and providing consultative solutions across our portfolio of analytical instruments, consumables, and services. Build and execute strategic sales plans, identify new opportunities, deliver compelling presentations, negotiate effectively, and collaborate with internal teams to drive customer success and achieve sales objectives.

What to expect

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve growth objectives.
  • Build, maintain, and expand relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Understand customer laboratory workflows, applications, and business needs.
  • Provide consultative guidance on analytical instrumentation, consumables, and services.
  • Identify and develop sales opportunities across pharmaceutical, environmental, industrial, food safety, healthcare, and academic research markets.
  • Deliver technical and commercial presentations to customers and stakeholders.
  • Manage negotiations and support customers throughout the sales process.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity and customer information using CRM systems such as Salesforce.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal commercial, technical, and service teams.
  • Travel up to 70% to support customers and business development activities.

Keys to Success

Education

  • Master's degree plus 5 years of sales experience in analytical instrument markets or equivalent laboratory experience.
  • Preferred fields of study include Chemistry, Biology, Life Sciences, or a related scientific field.
