Role reports to the Allentown, PA site and reports to the Clinical Trials Division (CTD). Discover Impactful Work
As a Demand Planner II on our Supply Chain team, you'll develop and manage 24-month demand plans for key product portfolios. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance forecast accuracy, optimize inventory levels, and ensure customer satisfaction. Working at the intersection of commercial strategy and operational execution, you'll translate market insights into actionable supply chain plans while leveraging advanced analytics and forecasting tools to support our mission of making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
A Day in the Life
- In this role, you'll manage Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes, facilitate demand review meetings, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- You'll analyze market trends, historical data, and business intelligence to create accurate forecasts while maintaining strong partnerships with Product Management, Commercial, Finance, and Manufacturing teams.
- Your expertise will be essential in optimizing inventory levels, reducing excess and obsolescence risk, and ensuring efficient production planning.
Keys to Success
Education
- BS degree highly preferred. Preferred Fields of Study: Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- APICS certification preferred
- CSCMP or comparable supply chain certification a plus
Experience
- At least 2 years of direct clinical trial supply management experience, including hands-on use of IRT systems and broader exposure to clinical trial operations required.
- Experience with business intelligence tools like Power BI
- Experience in S&OP processes and inventory management
- Experience using Lean business practices and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience in life sciences, medical device, or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Proficiency in demand planning systems (SAP, Forecast Pro, Kinaxis, or similar platforms)
- Advanced analytical skills with expertise in statistical modeling and forecasting techniques
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to work cross-functional with team collaboration and project management
- Clear verbal and written communication skills with ability to present to senior leadership
- Ability to work in a matrix organization
- Problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making capability
