THE OPPORTUNITY
At Salesloft, our Senior Business Systems Administrators own the health, security, and scalability of the internal systems that run the company. You will be the escalation point and technical authority for our business-critical applications — designing the access model, automation, and integration strategy that keeps those systems secure and lets them scale as the company grows.
This is a senior, high-ownership systems role. You will lead the administration of core business applications, set the standards for access and configuration management, and mentor less-tenured administrators. Working within our Security organization, you will treat access and configuration as security controls, and be the person the team turns to for the hardest systems problems.
On a day-to-day basis, you will
- Own the architecture, configuration, and integration strategy for core business systems and SaaS applications company-wide.
- Set the standard for access management — designing least-privilege models, provisioning/deprovisioning workflows, and access review processes that scale.
- Lead automation initiatives that reduce manual administration and error across the systems you own.
- Design and maintain integrations and data flows between business-critical systems.
- Partner directly with Security, IT, and business leadership on audits, access reviews, and compliance requirements — often as the primary technical point of contact.
- Mentor other administrators, and build the documentation and repeatable processes that keep systems maintainable as the company scales.
This role lives at the heart of how we Make Your Mark: you'll treat systems administration as a discipline at scale — architecting, documenting, and fixing root causes so the same issues don't recur across the organization. And in the spirit of how we are Customer Inspired — where every decision has a true north, and it's our customer — you'll design access and configuration as the security controls they are, protecting the company and the data customers trust us with.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for an experienced systems administrator who has owned business-critical applications end to end and brings a security-first mindset to access and configuration at scale. You are the person other administrators come to with the hardest problems, and you think in terms of standards and architecture, not just individual tickets.
You embody what we call Evidence Over Ego — you work methodically, verify configurations against policy, and are candid about risk and technical debt rather than papering over it. You are process-minded and design systems administration practices that scale beyond your own hands.
This is the right role if you want to own the internal systems architecture that keeps a category-defining company running securely.
THE TEAM
The Salesloft Security organization protects the platform, the company, and the sensitive data our customers and employees entrust to us. Business Systems Administration sits within this remit because access and configuration are core security controls. The team works closely with IT, Security Engineering, and the business teams who rely on these systems.
The team Moves as One — systems administration, security, and IT share ownership of secure, reliable internal systems and coordinate directly. And we are relentlessly Customer Inspired: our customers' success is the only scorecard that matters, and well-governed systems and disciplined access management are part of how we keep the company and its data secure.
THE SKILL SET
- Strong, demonstrated experience administering business-critical systems or SaaS applications at scale, including access and configuration architecture.
- Deep understanding of access management — roles, permissions, least privilege, and provisioning lifecycle — and the ability to design these models, not just execute them.
- Track record of automating administrative processes and access reviews (scripting or built-in automation tools).
- A security-first approach to systems administration, with experience supporting formal audits or compliance reviews.
- Strong communication and documentation skills, including the ability to advise business and security leadership directly.
- Experience administering systems such as Salesforce, identity providers (Okta, Entra), or other core enterprise SaaS at an architect or lead level.
- Deep familiarity with SSO, SCIM, and identity/access governance tooling.
- Experience leading through SOC 2 or similar compliance audits.
