DESCRIPTION
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as an Account Manager III supporting the Process & Production Analytics (PPA) business in the South region. You will drive profitable growth, develop strategic customer relationships, and expand our presence in key industrial markets, particularly mining, metals and cement.
The role will focus on developing opportunities across the PPA portfolio, with emphasis on Bulk Elemental Analysis (BEA) and PGNAA solutions. You will work with customers across process control, quality control, production, R&D and laboratory applications, providing consultative solutions that improve productivity, quality and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute territory and strategic account plans to achieve sales and growth objectives.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, particularly within mining, metals and cement.
- Drive opportunities for the PPA portfolio, with focus on BEA and PGNAA solutions.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across operations, process, quality, laboratory, engineering, procurement and management.
- Manage complex consultative sales cycles from opportunity identification through negotiation and closure.
- Collaborate with product specialists, applications, service, marketing and channel partners to deliver customer solutions.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline, accurate forecasting and disciplined opportunity management using Salesforce.
- Monitor market trends, customer investments and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
- Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at customer meetings, industry events and technical seminars.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Metallurgy, Mining, Geology, Materials Science or a related technical or scientific field.
- 5+ years of experience in B2B technical sales, industrial solutions, analytical instrumentation, capital equipment or related markets.
- Demonstrated experience in territory management, strategic accounts and complex sales opportunities.
- Strong business acumen, negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to understand industrial applications and translate customer needs into technical and commercial solutions.
- Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce, and strong sales forecasting discipline.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a cross-functional and matrix organization.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
- English proficiency appropriate for a regional and global business environment.

Preferred qualifications
- Experience and established customer relationships within mining, metals and/or cement industries.
- Experience selling analytical instrumentation, process technologies, automation, laboratory solutions or industrial capital equipment.
- Knowledge of process control, quality control, R&D and industrial laboratory applications.
- Knowledge of elemental analysis technologies such as XRF, OES, PGNAA/PFTNA or related analytical techniques.
- Experience working with channel partners or distributors.
