Eligibility Specialist at Tidalbasin

THIS IS A TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY Position Summary: Tidal Basin seeks a competent Eligibility Specialist to join the team supporting the State of Indiana, Disaster Relief Fund program. The position will assist with reviewing applications for those impacted by affected by August 2026 weather event. This position represents an exceptional opportunity to join an expert team to facilitate change and help make a lasting difference.

The Eligibility Specialist is responsible for reviewing the affected applicant’s application and come to an eligibility determination. The responsibility may also include evaluating previously denied applications for potential appeals. The Eligibility Specialist may potentially serve as a point of contact between the program and the applicant and is expected to provide exceptional customer service while assisting the client in coordinating necessary services and resources to address their recovery needs.

include : Provide eligibility/case management services and work effectively as part of a team. Contact survivors and gather documents to establish program eligibility. Maintain a high ethical standard to protect client information. Attend meetings and training provided by Eligibility Supervisors/Leads, internal and external. Work collaboratively with Eligibility Supervisor and Program Management to meet program goals and performance targets.

Exhibit a strong work ethic and a desire to adhere to strict boundaries and professional ethics in the care of others, awareness of the impact of a disaster on the community, family, and individual. Maintain a complete understanding of all applicable Program policies and
