Job description

Social Media Manager at Smartsheet

For over 20 years, Smartsheet has empowered teams to manage work seamlessly and scale solutions smarter. Now, in our most ambitious chapter yet, we are uniting human teams with AI agents. By orchestrating the work agents do best, automating manual tasks and uncovering insights at scale, we create the space for people to focus on what truly matters: judgment, creativity, and big thinking. That is magic at work, and it’s what we show up for every day.

We're looking for a Social Media Manager to help us grow and deepen Smartsheet's presence across organic social channels. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who's equally comfortable building a content calendar, writing sharp copy, and digging into performance data to figure out what's working.

You'll work closely with our social team and the broader Digital organization, partnering with Creative, Campaigns, Comms, and Product Marketing to bring Smartsheet's brand voice to life on LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook, and other emerging platforms. You'll also support influencer relationships and occasional social boosting efforts as part of a broader integrated approach. You will report to the VP of Digital Demand Marketing, based in North America.

You Will

Content Creation and Channel Management

  • Plan, write, and publish organic social content across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, and Facebook, with an eye toward both brand storytelling and demand generation.
  • Maintain and manage the social content calendar, ensuring consistent cadence, timely execution, and alignment with broader marketing campaigns and launches.
  • Develop platform-specific content that reflects Smartsheet’s voice — clear, confident, and customer-centric — while adapting format and tone for each channel.
  • Collaborate with Creative to brief and produce visual assets, video content, and copy that performs across formats.

Performance and Reporting

  • Track, analyze, and report on social performance metrics including engagement rate, reach, follower growth, and content-driven pipeline contribution.
  • Use data to identify what’s working, surface insights to the team, and make informed recommendations on content strategy and channel investment.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and platform algorithm changes to keep Smartsheet’s social presence sharp and current.

Influencer and Boosting Support

  • Support influencer relationship management, including coordination, content review, and performance tracking for a small portfolio of strategic influencer partnerships.
  • Assist with social boosting efforts in coordination with the Paid Media team, helping amplify high-performing organic content when appropriate.

Innovation and Channel Evolution

  • Stay ahead of platform changes, algorithm shifts, and emerging social formats — proactively testing new content approaches and sharing findings with the team.
  • Look for creative ways to leverage AI tools to improve content production, scheduling, and performance analysis, driving better efficiency across the channel.
  • Monitor trends in B2B social, competitive brand presence, and creator culture to identify opportunities to increase Smartsheet’s visibility and relevance.
  • Bring a test-and-learn mindset to the role — propose experiments, measure results, and iterate quickly.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Campaign, Comms, Product Marketing, and Creative teams to align social content with campaign launches, product announcements, and company milestones.
  • Support employee advocacy efforts and help activate internal voices to amplify Smartsheet’s social presence.
  • Other duties as assigned.

You Have

  • 5+ years of social media experience in a B2B or SaaS environment, with a track record of growing and engaging audiences on LinkedIn and other major platforms.
  • Strong writing skills — you can produce clear, compelling copy quickly and adapt your voice to different formats, audiences, and channels.
  • Proficiency with social media management and scheduling tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or similar), social listening platforms (Brandwatch, Sprinklr, or similar), and employee advocacy tools. Comfort with AI-powered content and productivity tools is a plus. Familiarity with Smartsheet or similar collaborative work management platforms is a bonus.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to pull performance data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable content decisions.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced marketing environment, with strong project management instincts and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with influencer coordination and/or social boosting is a plus.
  • A genuine interest in AI, work management, or enterprise technology — and the ability to make complex topics feel accessible and human on social.

  • Flexible Time Away Program, plus Sick Time Off
