Job description

Head of Delivery at Dfns

Description Join a team of engineers and cryptographers building the infrastructure behind the next generation of financial systems. We're hiring a Head of Delivery to build the function that takes financial institutions from signature to production on DFNS, the core banking platform for digital assets. More than 500 institutions run on DFNS today, across SaaS, hybrid and on-premise deployments, securing over $200B in assets. Delivery is currently carried case by case by our solutions and product teams.

That model got us here. It will not carry the next 500 clients. Your mandate is to turn delivery into a discipline. This is not an inherited role. There is no process to take over: you design it. Phase one, you lay the foundations yourself and stay hands-on with flagship deployments. Phase two, you recruit and lead the delivery team you will have sized. DFNS is a product company. Delivery exists to put institutions in production fast and to turn everything specific into standard.

Each deployment must shorten the next. Success is measured in median time-to-production, share of deployments shipped without custom development, and client satisfaction. Not billable days.

Responsibilities

Design the delivery foundations: onboarding playbook, reference architectures for SaaS, hybrid and on-premise, production runbooks, tooling and standards. Own flagship deployments hands-on: specification, configuration, integration, testing in production, go-live and hypercare. Orchestrate execution across product, engineering, security and sales. You are the single point of intent and the master of schedules: milestones, dependencies, steering committees, escalations.

Provide hands-on support alongside client teams: troubleshoot, fix, unblock. Hire and lead the delivery team: forward deployed engineers, solutions engineers and solutions architects. You size it, you recruit it, you run it. Build a catalogue of packaged, fixed-price delivery offers: implementation, migration, partner certification. Collaborate with sales on implementation plans, statements of work and RFP responses. Feed everything specific back to product so it becomes standard.

Improve documentation and developer guides along the way.

Requirements

10+ years across delivery, solutions engineering, forward-deployed engineering or enterprise integration, including team leadership. Track record of putting mission-critical systems into production at banks, financial institutions or large enterprises. Experience building or scaling a delivery or professional services function: methodology, playbooks, hiring. Strong program management: multi-team orchestration,
