As a Senior Events Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategic events that drive physician engagement. Reporting to the Associate Director, Events, you will lead complex, high-impact events, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional experiences. Your expertise in event planning, project management, and stakeholder management will be instrumental in achieving organizational objectives.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Spearhead the development and execution of high-profile, multi-faceted events, including conferences, summits, webinars, and virtual experiences.
- Foster strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, including market leadership, operational team members, and physician leadership, to align event objectives with overall business goals.
- Oversee event budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost-effective execution.
- Negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and monitor performance to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Utilize project management tools to effectively plan, track, and manage event timelines, deliverables, and risks.
- Leverage event analytics to measure success, identify trends, and inform future event strategies.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement in event planning and execution
- Travel to and support large scale offsite event delivery and execution (as needed ~15%)

- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Business or Hospitality preferred
- 5+ years of progressive experience with events and meeting planning of varying sizes and complexity
- Proven track record of successfully managing budgets, timelines, and diverse teams.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Event management software experience (registration, budget management, supplier network) or other events management/project management tools
- Proven ability to read, edit, negotiate, and interpret contractual documentation, including the ability to manage performance to contracts and agreements
- Willingness to work evening and weekends, as necessary
- Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations
The salary range for this role is $70,000.00-$75,000.00 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, and pet insurance, 401K, paid time off, and other wellness programs). This role is also eligible for an annual bonus targeted at 15%. The base pay offered will be determined based on relevant factors such as experience, education, and geographic location.
