Product Manager – AI & Automation

Join EviCore by Evernorth’s AI & Automation Product organization, where you will lead product initiatives that transform healthcare operations through a combination of artificial intelligence, workflow orchestration, decision automation, intelligent document processing, and rules-based solutions. In this role, you will partner with clinical, engineering, data science, operational, and business teams to design, deliver, scale, and optimize innovative products that improve utilization management outcomes, reduce administrative burden, increase automation rates, and create measurable business value.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product ownership for automation, AI and workflow transformation solutions, to improve healthcare operations, utilization management, and prior authorization outcomes.
  • Partner with business, clinical, operations, data science and engineering stakeholders to analyze workflows and identify opportunities to increase automated processing, reduce manual intervention, improve accuracy, and accelerate cycle times.
  • Partner with risk, compliance, legal, and governance teams to ensure products meet regulatory, audit, and responsible AI requirements.
  • Translate complex user needs into defined requirements and validate product solutions that will deliver meaningful outcomes for users and the business.
  • Lead cross-functional product delivery for assigned capabilities, including translating requirements into features and user stories, owning backlog prioritization and refinement, and actively guiding agile delivery, deployment, and adoption activities.
  • Support responsible AI practices through performance monitoring, explainability, bias mitigation, model governance, and ongoing optimization.
  • Define and monitor product KPIs, user feedback, and market trends to identify enhancement opportunities.
  • Support successful adoption and scaling of AI-enabled healthcare solutions across stakeholders.
  • Communicate product vision, priorities, and outcomes effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support the evolution of product management standards, governance process, and delivery practices across the AI & Automation product portfolio.

Required qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in product management, project management, product operations, or related leadership roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Healthcare Administration, Business or a related field.
  • Experience delivering one or more of the following: AI/ML products, Generative AI solutions, workflow automation platforms, business rules engines, decision automation platforms, RPA solutions, or intelligent document processing capabilities.
  • Strong written, verbal, stakeholder management, facilitation, and executive communication skills.
  • Experience working in agile development environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing initiatives, manage ambiguity and solve complex problems, lead cross-functional delivery efforts, and drive business outcomes.
  • Experience defining product KPIs and measuring operational, user, and financial outcomes.

Preferred qualifications

  • Master’s degree, MBA, or advanced technical education.
  • Experience in healthcare automation, payer operations, utilization management, or clinical workflow environments.
  • Experience developing AI and automation enabled products within highly regulated industries.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience leading transformation, automation, or operational modernization initiatives.
  • Experience with LLMs, NLP, document intelligence, and AI-powered healthcare solutions.
  • Knowledge of MLOps, model governance, responsible AI, and automation lifecycle management practices.
  • Experience with cloud-native AI and automation platforms including Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Experience with process mining, workflow optimization, and straight-through processing initiatives.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 113,200 - 188,600 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
