Spacetime engineers tackle hard problems in distributed systems, algorithms, network modeling, and large-scale computation.
The systems we build have to reason about dynamic networks across both space and time all while staying reliable, scalable, and understandable in real-world operation. We're a small, highly collaborative team with broad ownership. Engineers work across the full stack designing, building, testing, and operating capabilities end to end, with real influence over both what we build and how we build it.
As a Software Engineer on Simulation Systems, you'll build the tools that let customers explore "what if" before committing to real-world changes, modeling hypothetical scenarios, surfacing tradeoffs, and de-risking decisions on complex networks. Key
Responsibilities
: Design and build simulation and planning capabilities for exploring hypothetical network scenarios. Enable users to vary network configurations, conditions, and assumptions and evaluate their potential effects. Build tools for comparing scenarios, understanding tradeoffs, and identifying risks and opportunities before changes are made. Develop scalable, reliable systems for managing and evaluating complex scenarios.
Collaborate across Product Engineering to integrate simulation and planning into broader product workflows.
Required qualifications
Qualifications
: Proficiency in Golang, C/C++, or Java Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years experience designing and developing production software systems. Strong software engineering fundamentals, including system design, algorithms, testing, and debugging. Experience with distributed, data-intensive, computational, or other complex backend systems.

: Experience with simulation, modeling, experimentation, planning systems. Experience building systems that represent and evaluate complex or evolving state. Familiarity with networking, telecommunications, geospatial systems, or other adjacent domains.
