Job description

Sr. Technology Partner Director - AI Code-Gen & Apps at Databricks

RDQ427R146

At Databricks, we are building the platform for the next generation of AI-built applications, where developers can go from idea to production using AI coding agents and app-building platforms. We partner with the leading tools developers use to generate, build, and deploy applications, connecting them directly to Databricks data, AI, and application infrastructure. With Databricks Apps and Lakebase, developers can build with their preferred code-gen tools and deploy secure, data-driven applications directly on Databricks. These partnerships are critical to making Databricks a core platform for the rapidly growing ecosystem of AI-generated applications.

Founded in 2013 by the original creators of Apache Spark, Databricks has grown from a tiny corner office in Berkeley, CA to a global organization with over 8,000 employees. Thousands of organizations, from small startups to Fortune 100, trust Databricks with their mission-critical workloads, making us one of the fastest-growing SaaS companies in the world and one of the top 5 move valuable private companies.

More about the Team

As the Sr. Technology Partner Director, AI Code-gen & Apps, you will be responsible for recruiting, developing, managing, and scaling our global partner ecosystem that makes Databricks the best place to build and run AI-generated applications. You will build and own strategic partnerships with leading AI coding agents, app builders, and developer platforms, creating deep product integrations, joint solutions, and GTM plays that connect these ecosystems to Databricks Apps, Lakebase, and the broader Databricks platform.

We are looking for someone with experience building and scaling strategic partnerships across AI code-gen, app-building, or developer tool ecosystems, with a strong track record of driving product integrations, joint GTM, and partner-led growth. The role requires strong technical and GTM acumen, with the ability to work across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to drive integrations, joint solutions, and go-to-market execution. Success requires deep expertise in large-scale technology ecosystems, strong communication and prioritization skills, and a scrappy, entrepreneurial mindset to build partnerships that establish Databricks as the best place to run transactional database workloads.

The impact you will have

  • Build and own partnership strategies for a portfolio of leading AI coding agents and app builders, spanning product integrations, joint solutions, GTM, and marketing initiatives that drive measurable customer adoption and business impact.
  • Lead strategic partnerships from opportunity identification and joint product planning through launch and scale, working closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to bring integrations to market and drive adoption.
  • Drive enablement and field readiness to ensure both Databricks and partner teams can effectively position and deliver these joint offerings.
  • Serve as the internal voice of top partners in category, collaborating with Product, Sales, and Marketing leadership to influence our roadmap and ensure our strategy addresses the evolving needs of the Developer Tooling & Database Ecosystem landscape.

What we look for

  • 7+ years of experience in product partnerships, business development, or partner management, including 3+ years working across AI code-gen, app-building, or developer tool ecosystems.
  • Proven track record of launching strategic ISV integrations and joint GTM motions with leading developer platforms, AI code-gen companies, or hyperscalers.
  • Deep understanding and network across Developer Tool & Database ecosystem — Postgres (big plus), Developer Marketplaces, next-gen Platform-as-a-Services, AI Coding, and CI/CD workflows, and ability to develop joint value propositions that resonate with technical and business decision-makers alike.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills — able to influence Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Business Operations teams.
  • Experience navigating co-opetition dynamics and sensitive partner relationships.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Grit, humility, and the ability to operate in a high-growth, founder-led environment.

**Most of all, we look for relentless problem solvers and will consider candidates with non-traditional backgrounds.
