Account Manager, Higher Education at NVIDIA USA

NVIDIA seeks an accomplished Account Manager to develop its relationships with universities and higher-education research institutions. This opportunity fits a consultative technology sales specialist who thrives on AI, accelerated computing, scientific research, and assisting academic customers in overcoming complex computing issues. Serving as NVIDIA’s leader in AI and accelerated computing, we work alongside universities and research institutions that push the boundaries of science, engineering, and technology. We seek an Account Manager to cultivate strategic customer relationships, foster growth within a designated territory, and support academic institutions in implementing NVIDIA’s full technology platform.

In this full-time role, you will partner with NVIDIA solution architects, developer relations, product teams, business units, and channel partners. You will guide the sales process from prospecting through to close, formulate account strategies, and interpret customer software and computing demands into clear, differentiated NVIDIA solutions.

What You'll be doing

  • Meet or exceed assigned sales quota across university and research accounts.
  • Build and complete territory and account plans that generate balanced revenue growth.
  • Develop positive relationships with academic, research, IT, and business collaborators.
  • Own the end-to-end sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery, presentations and demonstrations, proposal development, negotiation, forecasting, and closing.
  • Collaborate with solution architects, developer relations, product management, business units, and other internal teams to drive customer opportunities forward and speed up research on NVIDIA platforms.
  • Collaborate with technology channel partners to extend market coverage and grow sales.
  • Accurately forecast pipeline, revenue, and deal progress to sales leadership.
  • Understand customers’ software, infrastructure, research, and computing priorities, then articulate NVIDIA’s value proposition, product capabilities, and strategic positioning.

What we need to see

  • More than 5 years of experience in an Account Manager role with revenue targets.
  • At least 2 years of experience supporting higher-education and research customers.
  • Demonstrated success achieving revenue targets and managing sales forecasts.
  • Experience working with technology industry channel partners and developing go-to-market strategies.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, communication, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Outstanding customer relationship-management skills and the ability to engage effectively with technical and executive collaborators.
  • Ability to communicate complex technology concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Open to travel 25%
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.

Ways to stand out from the crowd

  • Academic, professional, or technical background in science, engineering, research, or a related field.
  • Experience with data science processes, current machine learning methods, AI developments, and high-performance or accelerated computing.
  • A self-directed, resilient approach to working in a fast-changing environment.
  • Ability to balance near-term sales execution with long-term account development.
  • Strong listening skills, creativity, and the ability to influence a variety of collaborators.

At NVIDIA, you will work alongside dedicated, driven people who are crafting the future of AI, accelerated computing, and scientific discovery. We value initiative, collaboration, creativity, and the ability to turn ambitious ideas into meaningful outcomes for customers and society. Join us and be a part of something exceptionally innovative!
