Bilingual Spanish Customer Service- Insurance Billing/Self Pay

The Healthcare Self-Pay Customer Service Representative serves as the primary point of contact for patients calling in regarding self-pay and out-of-pocket medical balances. This role focuses on delivering high-quality customer service, resolving financial accounts using approved guidelines, and strictly adhering to speed and accuracy metrics.

• $17.50 English
• $18.50 Bilingual (Spanish/English)
• Department is open 9am-9pm EST
• Understand payer contracts, rules and regulations.
• Understanding of insurance eligibility requirements
• Understanding of insurance billing priority
• Review claim denials, rejections and underpayments.
• Communicate issues and offer suggestions to Management for process improvements.
• Understand and apply federal and state rules and regulations, including but not limited to HIPAA, PCI Compliance regulations, PII/PHI Security.
• High School diploma or GED required; College preferred.
• Hospital or Healthcare (US) knowledge/experience preferred.
• Contact or Call Center experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written and communication skills required.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Minimum typing skills 60 words per minute with the ability to talk and type
• Minimum 3-5 years’ work-related experience.
• SMS Invision, I-series, Meditech, Epic experience a plus.
• Microsoft Office experience required.
