Job description

Associate Solution Engineer at Snowflake

At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.

At Snowflake, we’re on a mission to help our customers unlock the full potential of their data. As an Associate Solution Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering technical expertise and building relationships with prospects and customers as they explore the Snowflake AI Data Cloud. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career, develop your skills, and make an impact in a supportive and dynamic environment.

You’ll work alongside experienced team members, contributing to a variety of customer engagements, from technical evaluations to inspiring future-state architectures. This role blends technical problem-solving, collaboration, and customer focus, making it an exciting step for someone looking to grow into a technical customer-facing role.

What you’ll do

  • Engage Customers: Present Snowflake's technology, vision, and roadmap to audiences ranging from technical contributors to business executives, and connect technical solutions to business outcomes.
  • Drive Technical Wins: Work hands-on with prospects and customers across the sales cycle, from tailored demos and proofs of concept to solution design and implementation. Show the business value of Snowflake at every stage.
  • Build Technical Champions: Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders and develop technical champions who help advance deals and support long-term success.
  • Stay at the Cutting Edge: Keep deep, current knowledge of Snowflake's platform, industry trends, and competing or complementary technologies, and know how to position Snowflake against them. Use hands-on labs, demos, and Snowflake's learning resources to keep your skills sharp.
  • Collaborate Across Snowflake: Work closely with Account Executives, Marketing, Product Management, and Engineering to support customer success and share field feedback that improves Snowflake's products and messaging.
  • Partner with the Ecosystem: Work with technology and implementation partners on joint architectures, account strategies, and initiatives that help customers succeed.
  • Represent Snowflake: Serve as a Snowflake ambassador at industry and customer events.
  • Grow with the Team: Learn from fellow Sales Engineers and from wins and losses, take advantage of mentorship and on-the-job learning, and help each other get better.

What you bring

  • Foundational Experience: Some experience in a technical role (e.g., solution engineering, solutions architecture, or software development), preferably in SaaS, data analytics, or cloud technology.
  • Willingness to Learn: A passion for solving problems and eagerness to grow your technical and business skills.
  • Technical Aptitude: Basic familiarity with SQL and/or Python, or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, both written and verbal.
  • Customer Focus: A desire to understand customer challenges and deliver meaningful solutions.
  • Team Player: A collaborative approach to working with peers, partners, and customers.

WHAT SETS YOU APART (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS)

While not required, experience in any of the following areas is a plus:

  • Working with modern data technologies like Snowflake, Databricks, Fabric, BigQuery etc (including CI/CD tooling, Spark, containers, DevOps tools, orchestration tools, Git).
  • Understanding public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services.
  • Familiarity with data science, machine learning workflows, or governance tools.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • On Target Earnings (OTE) Range including base + commission bonus: $140,000 - $183,750
  • Snowflake offers competitive base salary, variable compensation, equity, and comprehensive benefits including 401(k), health/dental/vision, flexible PTO, and professional development budget.

THE TEAM YOU’LL JOIN & THE CULTURE WE FOSTER

At Snowflake, we prioritize collaboration, curiosity, and a growth mindset. You’ll be part of a supportive team where learning and development are celebrated. We foster a culture of inclusion, empathy, and mutual respect, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to contribute and thrive. This role is dedicated to supporting our Commercial team.

Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake.
