Job description

Salesforce Administrator at Hometap

Here at Hometap, we’re collaborative, passionate, and always ready to roll up our sleeves to create solutions that help people get more out of homeownership — and out of life. Our first product, a home equity investment, gives homeowners the opportunity to quickly access the equity they’ve built in their home to pay for what’s most important to them, from handling debt to finally making much-needed renovations, without taking on debt.

We work hard, and have some fun along the way, too. You don’t have to take our word for it: The Boston Globe and Forbes have recognized us as a great place to work, and we’ve been honored for our commitment to innovation in the fintech space by Inc. , HousingWire , and more!

In case you need any more convincing, we also provide competitive compensation, healthcare coverage, generous PTO, a meaningful equity package, and a strong culture with plenty of opportunities for team-building and camaraderie.

Interested in joining us on our mission to make homeownership less stressful and more accessible? We’d love to talk.

Who you are

As a Salesforce Administrator on our Sales Operations team, you'll build, maintain, and troubleshoot the Salesforce processes our largest teams rely on every day. Salesforce is the main system used by Sales, Investment Support, and Investment Operations, and you'll work across all three teams to scope and deliver projects.

In this role, you’ll work on a wide range of hands-on administration and development projects, with a heavy focus on Flows. You're a great fit if you hold your Salesforce Administrator Certification, have solid experience building and debugging Flows, and enjoy digging into the "why" behind a tricky issue as much as building the fix.

What you’ll do

  • Partner with Sales Ops and adjacent teams, including Sales, Investment Support, and Investment Operations, to support Salesforce initiatives
  • Gather requirements and map how they interact with each part of the investment process
  • Help define project scope and keep timelines on track
  • Design, build, test, implement, and maintain Flows (record-triggered, screen, scheduled, autolaunched) that meet business requirements
  • Follow Salesforce best practices in every build, including bulkification, error handling, minimal DML in loops, and avoiding recursive triggers
  • Troubleshoot and debug existing Flows, including tracing failures across multi-flow chains and integration touchpoints
  • Support the Sales Operations Analysts with root cause analysis (RCA) on internal support cases
  • Stay current on the major Salesforce releases each year and identify new features that would be useful for the team
  • Support any configuration changes required by new releases
  • Support Salesforce deployments across sandbox environments and make sure changes transition smoothly
  • Contribute to regular security checks so our org stays compliant with the latest security settings and policies
  • Help refresh and configure our sandbox environments, with guidance, and keep them in sync with production
  • Document project progress and maintain technical documentation for changes to Salesforce processes

What you bring

  • 2+ years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator or in a related role
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification
  • Hands-on experience building and troubleshooting Salesforce Flows (record-triggered, screen, scheduled, autolaunched), with a solid grasp of Flow best practices and limits
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce components, including approval processes, custom objects, SOQL, validation rules, dynamic layouts, and Lightning App Builder
  • Experience managing multiple Salesforce environments (Production, Full Copy sandbox, Developer sandboxes)
  • Experience managing Salesforce security, including org-wide defaults (OWD), field-level security (FLS), role hierarchy, profiles, permission sets, and sharing rules
  • Project management skills to keep multiple projects and timelines moving at the same time
  • Clear verbal and written communication for coordinating work across several teams

Bonus points

  • Additional Salesforce certifications or Superbadges, such as Platform App Builder or Sales Cloud Consultant
  • Experience with External Services and third-party integrations

The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000, depending on your experience, skills, location, and other factors. You’ll also receive meaningful equity, so you can share in our growth and success. We offer generous medical, dental, and vision coverage, a work-from-home stipend, parental leave, and plenty of paid time off to recharge.
