Job description

Director, EMEA Sales Operations at Temporal

About the role

We're looking for a Director of EMEA Sales Operations to be the dedicated GTM Operations partner for our EMEA region. This role sits at the centre of EMEA's go-to-market motion, spanning New Logo, Growth, and Commercial/hybrid motions across a fast-growing, multi-country region.

You will partner directly with the VP of EMEA and the region's Account Executives, Business Development Reps, and Solutions Architects to deliver the insights, enablement, and processes that power territory design, quota allocation, pipeline and forecasting hygiene, and the region's operating cadence. Because EMEA spans many countries and time zones relative to global GTM Operations and Systems teams based in the US, this role requires someone who can operate with real autonomy, exercise judgment on what to escalate versus solve locally, and represent EMEA's specific needs (FSI and financial services-heavy Strategic accounts across UK/Ireland and DACH, multiple hybrid Commercial motions, territory splits across UK/Ireland, DACH, Nordics, and Southern Europe) back into Temporal's global GTM Operations function.

We're building a GTM Operations function that is AI-native from the ground up. We expect this leader to bring demonstrated experience using AI tools to accelerate analysis, surface insights, and scale operational work—not as a future aspiration, but as a core part of how they work today.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the dedicated Sales Operations partner for EMEA, supporting New Logo, Growth, and Commercial/hybrid motions across the region, and knowing when to solve locally versus escalate to global GTM Operations or Systems.
  • Partner with the VP of EMEA and regional sales leadership to deliver actionable insights on net-new pipeline generation, account penetration, and territory design.
  • Own pipeline visibility and forecasting hygiene across all EMEA motions, including large complex enterprise deals, consumption workload ramps, and Commercial/self-serve pipeline.
  • Conduct white-space and TAM analysis to identify high-propensity targets across EMEA's markets, with particular attention to the region's concentration of financial services, banking, and fintech accounts.
  • Identify process gaps across the region's hunting, growth, and hybrid motions, and partner with GTM Systems to scope and implement automation—including AI-assisted workflows that reduce manual effort and increase regional coverage.
  • Analyse regional sales performance (win/loss, deal velocity, conversion, quota attainment) across segments, and translate findings into clear recommendations for the VP of EMEA and regional leaders; leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis and surface patterns at scale.
  • Build and maintain Salesforce and Omni reporting and dashboards tailored to EMEA, supporting Strategic, Growth, and Commercial views (including CQA/Tiered account, SSU, and workload metrics specific to the region).
  • Support the region's full operating cadence: forecasting calls, QBRs, pipeline reviews, and account planning sessions, often prepping leadership with regional metrics ahead of cross-timezone reviews.
  • Drive annual and in-year planning for EMEA: capacity plans, territory carving and re-carving (including account transitions as reps' territories evolve), and quota allocation across New Logo, Growth, and Commercial.
  • Evaluate new market entry and partner with regional GTM leadership on market expansion priorities, including coverage models and impacts to org design.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or Field Operations supporting a B2B enterprise or strategic sales organization in technology or software.
  • Proven track record supporting multiple sales motions at once: net-new logo hunting, growth/expansion within existing accounts, and self-serve or hybrid AE-assisted motions.
  • Demonstrated AI-native working style: hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Notion AI, or purpose-built GTM AI tools) to accelerate analysis, automate repeatable ops tasks, generate insights from large datasets, and improve the speed and quality of decision-making. We are not looking for theoretical familiarity—we want to see how AI is embedded in how you work today.
  • Deep experience across EMEA markets and fluency in the cultural and commercial similarities and differences across these markets.
  • Hands-on experience with building equitable territories, account scoring, quota allocation, and capacity modelling across a multi-country region.
  • Strong Salesforce expertise, including building scalable reports and dashboards across multiple sales motions and segments.
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to turn data into clear, actionable insights for regional sales leadership; comfortable pairing SQL, BI tools, and AI assistants to move faster and go deeper.
  • Strong cross-functional partner who can work effectively with regional sales and SA leadership, global GTM Operations, GTM Systems, and Marketing.
  • Comfortable presenting insights and recommendations to senior regional and global leadership.
  • Able to operate both strategically and tactically depending on business needs.
  • Bonus: experience operating in a consumption-based business, with a strong understanding of how usage impacts forecasting, pipeline, and quota planning for newly acquired and expanding accounts.
  • Bonus: experience evaluating or deploying AI-powered GTM tools (e.g., AI forecasting, account scoring, pipeline intelligence, or conversation intelligence platforms) and driving adoption across a regional sales team.
