Job description

Mid-Market Account Executive at Spring Health

OUR MISSION: ELIMINATING EVERY BARRIER TO MENTAL HEALTH.

Spring Health is a global mental health company on a mission to eliminate every barrier to mental health. We're building a world where getting support is simple, personal, and built around the person, so care can continue through every job, move, health plan, and life stage.

Our AI-native platform helps us deliver personalized support across self-guided tools, coaching, therapy, medication management, and specialty care. With outcomes independently validated by JAMA Network Open and the Validation Institute, Spring Health reaches more than 170 million people worldwide through leading employers, health plans, and partners.

As an AI-native company, we believe technology should expand the reach, quality, and humanity of care. Every Spring Health team member is expected to use AI tools thoughtfully, apply human judgment to AI outputs, and keep building AI fluency in ways that support their role and our mission.

We are looking for a Mid Market Account Executive to join our Sales team. This is a complex, consultative sales role covering accounts across the US. You’ll work directly with benefits and HR leaders and build strong relationships with the consultants and brokers who advise them. The right person uncovers meaningful business problems, builds a compelling case for change, and guides multiple stakeholders through a thoughtful buying process.

Reporting to one of our Mid Market Sales Leaders, this is a full-time, remote role. You’ll travel for customer, consultant, industry, and internal meetings across the country/in your assigned region. Expected travel is approximately 20%.

What you’ll do

  • Own the full sales cycle for employers with up to 5,000 employees, from prospecting through close, across benefits, HR, finance, and procurement stakeholders.
  • Build relationships with benefits consultants and brokers that create advocates for Spring Health, both on individual deals and across their books of business.
  • Run deep discovery into the financial, clinical, and organizational impact of a prospect’s current behavioral health strategy, including EAPs, health plan spend, access, utilization, and outcomes.
  • Build business cases that tie Spring Health’s clinical outcomes and member experience to stakeholder priorities, and show why the status quo costs more.
  • Generate pipeline on your own through account-based outreach, consultant relationships, events, and referrals. Build relationships well before an RFP.
  • Create strategic account plans and keep tight control of active deals with stakeholder maps, decision criteria, risks, and workback plans, all kept current in Salesforce.
  • Work closely with clinical, alliances, customer success, channel, finance, and legal teams to deliver a strong buying experience.

What success looks like

  • Consistently hitting or beating new business revenue and pipeline goals.
  • Consultant and broker relationships that bring introductions, sway active deals, and build future pipeline.
  • Deals that keep moving through long, nonlinear buying cycles because you own the plan.

What you’ll bring

  • 4+ years in complex B2B sales, benefits consulting, digital health, healthcare, HR tech, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in the employee benefits ecosystem, either as a consultant or broker, or as a benefits seller who partners closely with them.
  • A track record of selling to or advising mid-sized and large employers, and a strong grasp of how they evaluate, buy, and implement benefits.
  • Exceptional discovery skills and strong financial acumen. You’re comfortable discussing ROI, utilization, healthcare spend, and budget impact.
  • High ownership, persistence, and curiosity. You move deals forward without perfect information and find new paths when one stalls.

Nice to have

  • Experience selling behavioral health, navigation, leave, fertility, MSK, or other employer-sponsored benefits, including six-figure contracts.
  • Existing relationships with national or regional benefits consultants.
  • Familiarity with EAPs, health plan behavioral health benefits, and healthcare claims.
  • Experience using AI tools for research, account planning, and outreach.
  • Experience in benefits consulting or brokerage world, or with significant experience selling employer benefits alongside firms such as Mercer, WTW, Aon, Lockton, Gallagher, and Brown & Brown.

Note: We have even more benefits than listed here https://www.springhealth.com/careers#:~:text=Our%20perks%20%26%20benefits and below, your recruiter will provide more in-depth information as you continue in the interview process.
