About the role

As a Financial Product Specialist II (Mid-Market), you’ll guide customers through onboarding and early adoption of Motive’s financial products, Motive Card. You’ll own an assigned portfolio, coordinate implementation from post-sales handoff through launch, and help customers activate cards, configure spend controls and build consistent usage.

You’ll partner with customers and internal teams to resolve routine implementation questions, keep adoption milestones moving, and share feedback that can improve our products and processes. This role is suited to an organized, customer-focused, collaborative specialist who communicates clearly and is curious about financial workflows and spend management. You’ll coordinate with the right partners and route high-impact issues to the appropriate escalation owner. As you build product and customer expertise, you can take on more complex implementations and contribute to pilots and process improvements.

What you’ll do

  • Own assigned Mid-Market customer implementations from post-sales handoff through launch, aligning customer stakeholders, onboarding plans, and milestones.
  • Guide customers through card setup, activation, and spend adoption, coordinating the operational and accounting workflows needed for rollout.
  • Monitor onboarding progress and agreed spend goals, identify at-risk rollouts, and coordinate account-level actions to get implementation back on track.
  • Coordinate resolution of customer issues with Support, Product, Risk, Underwriting, Finance, and other partners; route high-impact or complex escalations through established channels.
  • Maintain clear account records and customer follow-through, and share implementation insights that contribute spend and into pilots and process improvements.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in customer-facing roles such as onboarding or implementation, sales, client operations, financial products, or another complex product or service environment.
  • Experience owning customer onboarding, rollout, adoption, or recovery plans for multi-stakeholder accounts, with attention to measurable customer outcomes.
  • Working knowledge of customer onboarding, training, and spend-management workflows, including card issuance, spend controls, transaction declines, rebates, and reconciliation; ability to partner on related risk, credit, fraud, underwriting, or dispute issues.
  • Experience leading live customer conversations- including calls, meetings, and product demos-and presenting product capabilities and financial workflows clearly and concisely
  • Experience acting as a cross-functional liaison between customers and internal teams, translating customer goals and feedback into relevant product narratives and aligned actions, and coordinating resolution of customer-impacting issues.

Creating a diverse and inclusive workplace is one of Motive's core values. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome people of different backgrounds, experiences, abilities and perspectives.
