Senior Accountant at Hissho Group

The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the month-end close, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the Company's financial records, and maintaining strong internal controls over assigned accounting processes. This role is a key contributor to the accounting team and will have primary responsibility for the fixed asset accounting function while assisting with financial reporting, account reconciliations, audit support, tax support and process improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and continuously seeks opportunities to improve efficiency and strengthen accounting processes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Fixed Assets Own the Company's fixed asset accounting process, including additions, disposals, transfers, impairments, and depreciation. Maintain the fixed asset subledger and ensure timely reconciliation to the general ledger. S. GAAP.

Coordinate with Operations, Facilities, IT, and other departments to ensure complete and accurate capitalization of projects. Monitor construction-in-progress (CIP) accounts and ensure timely capitalization upon project completion. Assist with physical asset inventories and maintain accurate asset records. Support the development and maintenance of capitalization policies and procedures. S. GAAP. Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate and resolve reconciling items.

Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Assist with the preparation of schedules supporting internal and external financial reporting. Support annual financial statement audits and SOX compliance activities by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests. Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable accounting standards.

Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reduce manual effort, and enhance reporting accuracy. Tax Support Provide backup support for the preparation and filing of sales and use tax returns, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant filings. Prepare reconciliations, reports, and supporting documentation for various tax filings and respond to information requests from internal and external tax advisors.

Support the accounting team in maintaining tax-related records, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of tax data used in compliance and financial reporting. Assist with tax-related projects, audits, and process improvement initiatives as assigned. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve financial processes. Assist with ERP implementations, system enhancements, and automation initiatives as assigned. ATS provider: Paylocity.
