Job description

VP Claims at LoanCare

Overview

Manage the processing of all claim types including, FHA, VA, FNMA, FHLMC, USDA and associated staff through subordinate managers and supervisors. Establish and implement operational policies and procedures that focus on risk-mitigating controls. Oversee and ensure departmental procedures conform to company standards and client requirements. Ensure compliance with all investor, insurer, client and LoanCare procedures, requirements, and guidelines in order to avoid significant monetary loss and audit findings. Ensure that key tasks in each area are completed timely and accurately. Maintain appropriate staffing requirements to meet operational needs. Create and maintain operational metrics designed to alert, detect and eliminate process failures. Work performed without significant direction including managing multiple geographical locations performing claim related work, including vendors, on and offshore. Exercise considerable judgment in determining objectives and approaches to assignments and future changes to meet LoanCare objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures all appropriate controls are in place for the key tasks job functions in each area to ensure compliance with all investor, insurer, client, and LoanCare policies, procedures, and requirements
  • Sets appropriate goals at all levels in all areas that tie into corporate goals
  • Oversees, directs, and develops managers and supervisors
  • Ensures adequate staffing, training and development of all staff members is in place.
  • Ensures policies and procedures for all areas are reviewed and updated as needed quarterly and sent to quality control for review
  • Prepares and distributes monthly management trend reports to report results and key activities in all areas
  • Participates in offsite due diligence reviews and client visits as needed
  • Prepares and issues monthly report cards to vendors outlining their overall performance and level of compliance with LoanCare’s requirements
  • Prepares and presents MBR, capacity model, and vendor scorecards by the 10th business day of each month
  • Responsible for requesting, creating/preparing, updating/revising, reviewing, testing, finalizing/approving, conduct training and maintain the departments policies and procedures
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6-10 years default experience with a significant degree of technical knowledge with default administration and investor/insurer guidelines and compliance with emphasis on post foreclosure activities.
  • Excellent, diplomatic and assertive communication skills; oral and written (grammatical).
  • Ability to communicate and work with all levels of management and executives
  • Ability to deal with clients, Investors and Insurers with both integrity and assertiveness,
  • Strong negotiation and mediation skills, ability to structure a negotiation that serves the best interests of Loan Care.
  • BKFS MSP, LoanSphere and default workstation knowledge preferred.
  • Detail oriented ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent, analytical, problem solving, research, interpretive, and decision making skills.
  • High sense of urgency and able to work in fast paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge with MS word, spreadsheets.
  • Ability to meet client, department and Investor standards with regard to job knowledge, quality, efficiency, initiative, teamwork, customer service, productivity and overall performance,
  • Ability to take initiative and work under minimal supervision, and work under time pressure and deadlines and juggle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to handle varying levels of stress.

About Remote Employment

We provide the necessary equipment; all you need is a quiet, private place in your home and a high-speed internet connection with a minimum network download speed of 25 megabits per second (MBPS) and a minimum network upload speed of 10 MBPS.
