Product Manager at Cotiviti

Overview

The Product Manager plays a strategic and executional role within the business, responsible for leading product development, strategy, and performance within an assigned business unit. This role ensures the successful launch and ongoing management of a product or product line by aligning business needs with customer expectations. They drive product ideation, execution, and stakeholder alignment while balancing customer needs with business objectives.

The Product Manager in this role will be responsible for managing clinical and claims data across products to enable risk adjustment and quality software and service programs. The ideal candidate has worked with or in health plans with exposure to data types commonly seen in health plan operations.

The Product Manager must lead cross-functional collaboration, influence key business decisions without direct authority, and ensure team consensus to bring products to market and manage their lifecycle effectively. Strong leadership, communication, analytical skills, and strategic thinking are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap.
  • Deliver product market requirements documents with prioritized features and corresponding justifications.
  • Work with AI tools to create product requirements and prototypes.
  • Be an expert with respect to the competition.
  • Collaborate across teams within the company.
  • Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product.
  • Engage in requirements and feedback gathering with customers.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to develop sales tools.
  • Propose an overall budget to ensure success.
  • Briefly train the sales force at quarterly sales meetings.
  • Act as a leader within the company.
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting.
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, or other field demonstrating technical expertise or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with health plan data types, including claims, clinical chart, and eligibility data.
  • Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret client business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching web based services and products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Technical background, with experience in software development.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Database interaction capabilities.
  • Medicare Advantage or other healthcare experience preferred.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
  • Must be able to provide high-speed internet access/connectivity and office setup and maintenance.
  • Travel as assigned by Leadership (10 -15%)
  • Moving (carrying, lifting, pushing, etc.) equipment weighing up to 10 lbs. for presentations set -up, etc.
  • Exposure to moderate noise intensity is expected.
  • No adverse environmental conditions are expected.

Base compensation ranges from $103,000 to $128,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
